Waikiki is about to be HIT with the HEAT of Heiva I Honolulu!

Today at the Waikiki Shell, Maeva I Patitifa of the north shore of Oahu, will pound the airwaves with their syncopated beats for all participants of the annual Solo Competition scheduled to begin at 10:00am HST.  Solo competitors in nine age divisions will compete for first, second, and third place awards which will be announced, Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Solo Competition Awards Ceremony at the Waikiki Shell, 2:30pm HST.

Here is a summary timeline of today's event:

9:00am  Waikiki Shell gates open to the public
10:00am  Introduction of Judges and Maeva I Patitifa
10:30am  Solo Competition Round 1
12:30pm  Solo Competition Round 2
3:30pm  Final Round
7:00pm  Waikiki Shell gates close to the public
